Certified Responsible Overreactor™
An 8-week credentialing program with a fake exam, fake CEUs, and a digital lapel pin.
The Problem
Anyone can call themselves an outrage practitioner. Few have the credentials to back it up. The Certified Responsible Overreactor™ program establishes a defensible, peer-recognized standard for sustainable overreaction practice — a credential that signals to employers, peers, and online adversaries that you have done the work.
How It Works
Enroll
Eight weekly modules covering proportional response, decibel hygiene, the Tantrum Footprint methodology, and case studies in historic overreactions (sustainable and otherwise).
Complete the exam
A 60-question multiple-choice assessment. Open-book. Open-everything. Most candidates pass on the first attempt. The 12% who do not are encouraged to enroll in a remedial composting workshop.
Receive your credential
A digital lapel pin, a wallet card, a LinkedIn-ready credential badge, and 8 fake Continuing Education Units that no professional body has agreed to honor.

Voices of Responsible Outrage
Eight CSO members share what this program means to their practice.
“Earned my credential in the November 2024 cohort. I keep the digital lapel pin on my email signature. Two suppliers have asked about it. One enrolled.”
Caldwell Briggs — Construction Foreman
“The exam is rigorous. The methodology module is essentially a graduate-level course. I have recommended the program to three colleagues, two of whom have completed it.”
Dr. Moira Petrescu — Cardiothoracic Surgeon
“Brought the credential to the PTA. They did not understand it. I explained it. They added it to the bylaws. I am now Chair of Sustainable Discourse.”
Linda Morrissey — PTA Board Chair
“The credential pairs unexpectedly well with my pastoral training. I have referenced it in three sermons and a wedding homily.”
Rev. Thomasina Oakes — Wedding Officiant
“We have credentialed 14 of our engineers. The remaining 9 are enrolled. We will be a fully-credentialed division by Q3.”
Eleanor Whittaker — Head of Engineering
“I completed the program in the inaugural 2018 cohort. My credential number is in the double digits. I do not bring this up often, but I am bringing it up now.”
Priscilla Voss-Bingham — Estate Executor
“The lapel pin design is elegant. The wallet card stock is high-quality. The whole credential package is, frankly, a brand achievement.”
Nina Cabrera — Creative Director
“Took the program over the winter. Passed first try. The CEUs are not real but the certificate is laminated. That counts.”
Tony Mazetti — Contractor
